The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released a map of projected county by county participation in the health insurance exchanges for 2018. There are 47 counties projected to have no insurers for the 2018 year, and there are 1,200 counties projected to have only one. There are 35,000 active exchange participants in those 47 counties predicted to lose all insurers in the exchanges by 2018.
