HHS Grants $35M To Rural Areas To Boost Telehealth

HHS announced it has awarded $35 million in grants to 50 rural organizations to boost telehealth, the health care workforce, health research, assistance for rural hospitals and HIV care. HHS said about $8.8 million was awarded to 30 organizations across 23 states as part of the Telehealth Network Grant Program, which will go towards promoting emergency telehealth programs. An additional $2 million will go towards the Telehealth Focused Rural Health Research Center program to evaluate nationwide telehealth investments in rural areas. Click here for details.
