The American Medical Association released their ‘Economic Impact Study’ showing, “that doctors in the U.S. each support, directly and indirectly, an average of just more than 17 jobs.” The AMA’s report includes an interactive map showing the economic activity, directly and indirectly, related to physicians in each state.
